Welcome!
Hi, I’m Gwen Fonarow. I’m so glad you’re here.
For more than 30 years, I’ve led inside complex organizations, including Fortune 100 companies, high-growth startups, and nonprofit organizations. I’ve spent more than a decade in the C-suite.
I’ve navigated rapid growth, high expectations, and the pressure to perform. I understand the weight of senior leadership, the responsibility, the visibility, and the isolation that can come with it.
Early in my career, I focused almost entirely on performance. I pushed myself hard. Late nights. Weekends. Constantly working to get ahead. And I achieved a great deal.
Over time, I began to realize that my achievements weren’t translating into the happiness and fulfillment I expected. The success was there, but it didn’t feel as meaningful as I thought it would.
So I began to approach my work and leadership differently. I deepened my self-awareness and intentionally changed how I showed up. And then, something shifted.
I continued to deliver results, but I felt lighter. More confident. More grounded. I began to enjoy both my career and my life in a deeper way.
Over time, I built a career I’m proud of and a life I truly love.
My goal is to help others experience that same shift.
With intention, honest reflection, and partnership with a trusted advisor, small but meaningful changes over time can lead to real transformation. You can build a high-achieving career you love and a full life that sustains you.
What I believe
Mindset is the foundation for everything else.
When mindset is strong, leaders act with confidence, energy, and courage. Without it, even highly capable leaders can struggle to consistently meet their goals.
Sustainable leadership is grounded in alignment.
When you operate in alignment with who you are and what matters most, work becomes more focused, meaningful, and energizing.
Intentional action creates confidence and momentum.
Insight only matters if it leads to action. Taking practical, courageous steps is required to strengthen your leadership capacity. This is where growth becomes real and lasting.
Real Impact Leadership is about building meaningful impact in a way that strengthens you.
Leadership can be demanding without being depleting.
It can be ambitious and grounded.

Executive coaching is a strategic partnership designed to help leaders improve performance, strengthen leadership capabilities, and navigate complex challenges.
It provides a confidential space to think things through, explore difficult situations, and gain perspective. A skilled coach serves as a sounding board, offering thoughtful questions, objective insight, and honest feedback.
This helps leaders see what may be difficult to see on their own, challenge their assumptions, and make more intentional decisions.
At its best, executive coaching strengthens both performance and alignment, enabling leaders to sustain success while leading in a way that is grounded, effective, and meaningful.
-
Executive coaching helps leaders improve how they think, decide, communicate, and lead. It strengthens self-awareness, sharpens strategic thinking, and builds the confidence to navigate complexity and change.
Leaders often experience clearer priorities, more effective communication, stronger decision-making, and greater influence. Many also report increased resilience, reduced stress, and renewed energy in their work.
Research from the International Coaching Federation shows that most coaching clients experience meaningful improvements in leadership effectiveness and professional relationships. -
Organizations invest in executive coaching because leadership effectiveness directly impacts business results. When leaders grow in clarity and capability, engagement strengthens, execution improves, and performance compounds across the organization.
Research from the International Coaching Federation indicates that companies commonly report returns of approximately six to seven times their investment, with nearly 90% citing positive ROI.
